What is Ferticell Universal?

Ferticell Universal is a highly concentrated solution of freshwater algae fertilizing extract. Agroplasma Inc. uses only food-grade single-celled algae and bacteria. Ferticell Universal 0-0-1 liquid algae fertilizer uses a patented extraction process of these non-living organisms to promote high activity in native microflora populations with food sources such as carbon and phytohormones.

The phytohormones present in Ferticell Universal 0 0 1 fertilizer differ from synthetic hormones in that the proportions of hormones in a natural product are more balanced for a consistent response. Unlike seaweed or kelp products, Ferticell Universal 0-0-1 liquid algae fertilizer uses single-celled algae, which are grown in freshwater from a consistent parent culture, to reduce both salt content and inconsistencies experienced in seaweed and kelp products such as seaweed fertilizer.

Cultivation of organisms in freshwater is done to reduce the risk of salt burn when used in foliar applications and to reduce salt added to the soil due to a fertility program.

The Ferticell Universal 0-0-1 liquid algae fertilizer is absorbed by the plant through the stoma of the leaf or the root system. Once inside the plant cell structure, nutrient-rich algae cells adhere to individual plant cells and nutrients are transferred from algae cell to plant cell in a balanced manner. This process is known as Intercellular Exchange (ICE Technology). Ferticell Universal 0- 0 -1 fertilizer algae cells that have not been used by the roots will remain in the soil and will be used as a food source by soil microbes, greatly increasing the living component of the soil. Algae cells also break down soil minerals that are blocked or stuck for various reasons, while processing chemical forms of nutrients so that they are assimilated by the plant more efficiently.
